The Technique
What Is Balayage?
Balayage comes from the French word meaning “to sweep.” Your colourist hand-paints lightener directly onto selected sections of your hair using sweeping motions — no foils, no caps. The result is soft, graduated colour that's lighter at the ends and naturally blended around the roots.
Unlike traditional foil highlights, balayage creates a seamless transition from your natural base to the lighter ends. Because there's no harsh root line, the colour grows out beautifully without looking unkempt — making it the ideal choice for anyone who wants low-maintenance colour that still looks polished.
At Hello Beauty, our colourists use Keune professional colour and lightening products, combined with Davines care treatments to protect the hair through every stage of the process. Every balayage is uniquely hand-painted to suit your hair type, base colour, and the result you have in mind.

What to Expect
Your Balayage Appointment
Colour Consultation
Your colourist discusses your vision, assesses your hair condition, and recommends the best approach — including tone, degree of lift, and any conditioning treatments needed.
Colour Application
Lightener is hand-painted onto carefully selected sections. The placement is tailored specifically to your hair — no two balayage appointments are identical.
Toning & Treatment
Once the lift is achieved, a Keune toner is applied to neutralise any brassiness and add depth, gloss, and the exact shade you discussed. A Davines treatment seals and conditions.
Blow Dry & Style
Your appointment finishes with a professional blow dry so you can see the full result. Your colourist will recommend aftercare products to maintain the colour at home.
