Welcome to Hello Beauty Salon, your trusted destination in Edinburgh for expert hair, makeup and beauty services. These Terms & Conditions explain how we operate, manage bookings and protect both our clients and our team. We encourage every guest to read them carefully before booking to ensure a smooth and enjoyable salon experience.
By booking or using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These Terms form a legal agreement between you (the client) and Edinburgh Creatives Ltd (Company number SC735968), trading as Hello Beauty Salon. Please read them carefully before booking or making any purchase. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

Our Services
We offer professional hair, makeup, nail, and bridal services. Our team includes both employed and self-employed stylists, each holding appropriate insurance either individually or through the salon's group policy. We maintain strict hygiene, safety, and professional standards across all treatments.
Agreement to Terms
By booking an appointment, purchasing a product, or using our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. We may update these Terms periodically; any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date above.
Bookings & Payments
Bookings can be made via our website (Salonized), Treatwell, or Fresha. Full prepayment is required for online bookings through our website. Bookings via Treatwell or Fresha require saved card details for no-show protection. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may forfeit their booking and payment. Stylists may choose, at their discretion, to proceed with a shortened service if time allows. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to illness, emergencies, or unforeseen events.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled appointment time are eligible for a full refund or reschedule. Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for lateness or no-shows. Gift cards are non-refundable but transferable.
Patch Tests & Client Responsibilities
All new colour clients must undergo a patch test at least 48 hours prior to service. Clients who decline a patch test may sign a waiver accepting full responsibility for any adverse reaction. Clients are responsible for disclosing allergies, medical conditions, or prior hair treatments. Hello Beauty Salon cannot accept liability for outcomes caused by undeclared conditions or previous hair damage.
Children & Age Restrictions
Children are welcome for styling and makeup services. Parental consent is required for chemical or colour treatments for anyone under 16.
Gift Cards & Vouchers
Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the purchase date. They are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift cards are redeemable only through our online booking system.
Product Sales & Returns
Hello Beauty Salon is an authorised stockist for Keune, Davines, L'Oréal Professionnel, Redken, Eleven Australia, K18, Cezanne, Natulique, and The Gel Bottle. Retail items may be returned within 14 days if unopened, unused, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Opened or used products, including cosmetics or colourants, cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. Faulty products will be replaced or refunded in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Service Satisfaction & Redo Policy
If a client is dissatisfied with their service, we offer a complimentary redo or fix within 3 days of the original appointment. No complimentary fixes will be offered after this period. Refunds are only provided if a redo is not possible or at management's discretion.
Media & Marketing
By allowing photographs or videos to be taken, clients grant Hello Beauty Salon permission to use them for marketing purposes including social media, print, and website materials. Clients may opt out at any time by informing their stylist or emailing info@hellobeautysalon.com.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone displaying inappropriate behaviour, poor hygiene, intoxication, or non-compliance with salon policies. This may include refusal of further bookings if deemed necessary for staff safety and salon integrity.
Intellectual Property
All text, imagery, design, and content on our website and promotional materials are the property of Hello Beauty Salon or its licensors. These may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without written permission. The salon name and logo are protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
Liability
Hello Beauty Salon's liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for indirect losses, allergic reactions, or personal property left on the premises. All stylists maintain valid professional insurance. Services are provided "as is," without guarantees of specific outcomes.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by events beyond our control including illness, fire, flood, power failure, or extreme weather.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Scottish courts.
